Department: International Markets

Reporting to: Ireland Marketing Manager

The Team:

The country teams look after all spend & marketing plans and are therefore responsible for the overall profit and loss of the market. The Head of market will set budget expectations and overall market goals and objectives, which all team members will work towards and ultimately be held accountable for. Within the team set up we have marketing (acquisition & retention), operational and analytical expertise, whilst working closely with several central functions to ensure best practice across key business areas.

Purpose of the role:

This position requires you to play a central role in the planning, production and execution of all UK/Ire content and day to day management of its social channels. This will include management of the Betway Insider blog, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube channel. You will be responsible for working with central outreach teams to ensure relevant content is leveraged externally. You will also work closely with wider country marketing team to ensure all campaigns are suitably supported.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day running of Betway\xe2\x80\x99s social media accounts in the UK and Ireland, ensuring all content published is compliant and responsible
  • Plan and deliver engaging content campaigns around major sporting events that fit in with broader team goals & objectives
  • Create innovative content and copy for a multitude of digital platforms (website, emails, promotions, and banners) and work closely with the country team to ensure consistency
  • Collaborate with the country designer to help produce social content, video content, animations, and infographics
  • Ensure all content is being promoted as effectively as possible across social channels & work closely with SEO team on external outreach campaigns
  • Plan & write blog content as well as edit and upload from brand ambassadors and external suppliers to ensure consistent formatting and tone of voice
  • Act as a segue between the country team and other central functions by communicating and collaborating on content/social plans
  • Assist in determining the best use of sponsorship assets and ambassador appearances
  • Monitor, audit, and optimise any website or campaign copy to ensure as effective as possible
  • Compile weekly summaries, monthly reports and quarterly business reviews to ensure meeting key market goals

  • A strong knowledge of sports, including horse racing and football, and an enthusiasm for betting
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently to research and produce content
  • Team player who can collaborate with others
  • Great communication skills and highly creative
  • Good understanding of social media, PR and SEO
  • Experience of managing social media channels for a brand
  • Ability to understand analytics data and report on performance
  • Able to work flexibly when required including evenings and weekends
