Content & Social Media Assistant

Monday to Friday- 9am-5pm, 30 min unpaid lunch.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Content & Social Media Assistant to join the Cornish Lime team at our site in Bodmin, Cornwall. You'll work closely with our Marketing & Design Manager to bring three unique brands to life: Cornish Lime, Cornerstone, and Beeck Mineral Paints.

We're seeking a junior marketing enthusiast who is passionate about copywriting, social media, and creating authentic content that resonates with our audience. This varied content-focused role is perfect for someone who enjoys sharing stories through a range of formats, whether it's writing articles, creating social media captions, producing short videos, photographing behind-the-scenes moments, or working with influencers to expand our reach.

Our content focuses on niche, technical topics, so collaborating onsite closely with a range of stakeholders will be key to this role.

What you'll be doing

1. Write and edit content for articles, social media, emails, and websites, in line with the brand tone of voice.

2. Assist with uploading and maintaining products across website and third-party platforms.

3. Apply SEO best practices, including keyword research and on-page optimisation.

4. Support team members to write case studies, presentations or webinar content.

5. Support the planning and development of our content calendars.

6. Plan and produce photos and short videos for social media using our in-house phone and/or camera equipment.

7. Assist with research for content topics, keywords, and trends.

8. Collaborate with influencers and brand advocates to produce content that resonates with target audiences.

9. Support data analysis to help guide content decisions, iterations and improvements.

What we're looking for (the essentials):

1. Great copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and format.

2. A basic understanding of SEO principles and their application to written content.

3. Familiar with social media platforms, photography, short-form video creation, and the basics of influencer marketing.

4. Keen to work with collaborators, influencers, and internal stakeholders.

5. Excited to work as part of a small and growing team.

Nice to have (but not essential):

1. Experience with B2B content creation.

2. Experience with WordPress.

3. Experience with paid ads (Google or Social).

4. An interest in architecture, interiors, or heritage buildings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 25,800.00 per year
