We're looking for a student to join our team this summer as a Social Media Assistant. This is a part-time role working evening shifts, based at our restaurant in Gateshead, close to the Tyne Bridge and The Glasshouse (formerly Sage Gateshead).

The role is ideal for someone studying marketing, media, or a related subject, who wants hands-on experience with content creation and digital tools.

Responsibilities

Create and schedule social media content (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) Take photos and videos during evening service Write captions and help maintain brand tone Update the restaurant website (WordPress) Assist with Mailchimp email newsletters Track basic analytics and performance Support local promotions and marketing activity

Essential Requirements

Must be a student currently based in Northeast England Studying a relevant subject (e.g. marketing, digital media, business) Confident using Instagram, TikTok, and short-form content Familiar with Canva or Adobe tools Experience using Mailchimp (or similar email platforms) Basic understanding of analytics and engagement tracking Able to work 2-4 evening shifts per week (4-6 hours each) Available from June to September, 10-16 hours per week
