The Content Strategist owns the creation of all thought leadership and content marketing by Gallagher Re, overseeing the quality and quantity of all white papers, blogs, podcasts, technical papers, market reports, and other outputs.


In addition, the role drives efforts to amplify the sales teams\xe2\x80\x99 efforts through the use of content \xe2\x80\x93 providing them with an off-RFP-cycle competitive edge that demonstrates the depth of our knowledge on key topics impacting our clients.


You\'ll work alongside Gallagher Re\xe2\x80\x99s Thought Leadership Board, which ensures strong coordination with and representation from regional and product leadership, alongside Gallagher Re\xe2\x80\x99s executive board.


Gallagher Re has grown from 170 people to 2,900 after an acquisition in 2021 and substantial business growth. Responsibilities:

• To develop content strategies and execution across Gallagher Re, working across marketing, content marketing and thought leadership campaigns.
• Working with the Senior Editor and Thought Leadership board to generate new content ideas.
• Regularly liaise with senior members of Gallagher Re\xe2\x80\x99s leadership team, product heads and regional leads. You\'ll also be encouraged to build and manage relationships with other senior stakeholders at the parent company A J Gallagher.
• Assist Internal Communications campaigns
• Working with the creative/marketing/PR teams to flesh out big content ideas that can drive campaigns over the long-term, ensuring the output is of a high quality and well-designed.
• Leading all aspects of the process of idea generation, copywriting, editing, offering writing support
• Help apply and maintain consistency with content standards.
• Working with marketing to audit existing and forthcoming content assets to assess their efficiency.
• Keeping up to date with the latest innovations in content creation and design.
• To work with various sales leaders to industrialise adoption and use of content marketing/thought leadership in their sales efforts.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the (re)insurance market a considerable advantage.
• Experience in a content role within a marketing services agency or client side.
• Strong internal stakeholders relations experience. You\'ll be a combination of a cheerleader, collaborator and diplomat, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm while balancing multiple priorities. You\'ll also be tasked with encouraging those business units which do not currently embrace marketing and content as a competitive advantage, and seek to drive their mentality towards recognising its importance in the sales toolkit.
• You\'ll know and embody the art of phenomenal content and storytelling, and the science behind campaign delivery and analysis. You\xe2\x80\x99re not satisfied with \xe2\x80\x98business as usual\xe2\x80\x99 and want to find ways to elevate our teams, and content in general.
• You likely have experience in copywriting or journalism, or you\xe2\x80\x99re just great with words. You\xe2\x80\x99ve probably got opinions on Oxford commas (we use them).
• You\'ll always thinks about the audience first.
• You\'ll possess gravitas and charm, have presence in a room, and able to earn respect and influence people.
• You\' have high levels of stamina, energy and drive, and will be pro-active. You\'ll have a proven ability to \xe2\x80\x9cjust get stuff done\xe2\x80\x9d, overcoming any obstacles.
• They will be a confident self-starter but thrive in a team environment.
