Are you a commercial litigation or property litigation solicitor with upwards of 2 years PQE looking to use your transferable skills in a new area of law? Perhaps you are already working in contentious construction, looking for your next move. This is an outstanding opportunity for a litigation solicitor to join the Contentious Construction team within a highly regarded national Construction & Engineering team based in Newcastle.
You will join a 30-strong national team engaged in high-quality, contentious work.

The team advises a broad and diverse client base, including developers, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, insurers, and public sector bodies. The operate across key sectors such as infrastructure, energy, education, healthcare, residential development, and commercial property.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a broad and varied caseload of construction and engineering disputes
• Advise clients on all aspects of contentious construction matters, including adjudication, arbitration, and litigation
• Contribute to the development of legal strategy and client relationship management
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to deliver pragmatic, commercial solutions
• Support business development initiatives

About you

• Qualified Solicitor 2-6 yrs PQE
• Previous experience in contentious construction, commercial litigation, or property litigation, with an interest in construction disputes
• Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills
• Strong client relationship management skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• A proactive attitude and commitment to developing a career in construction law
