Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and standards
Oversee food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
Train and mentor junior team members to develop their culinary skills and knowledge
Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professionalism
Experience
Proven experience in a culinary role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience in a kitchen environment is highly desirable
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing teams in high-pressure situations
Familiarity with food production processes, hospitality standards, and serving protocols
Previous experience in restaurant or catering environments will be advantageous
