Role Purpose
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Leader is responsible for driving a culture of operational excellence by facilitating improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. This role identifies opportunities to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency by engaging employees, standardizing processes, and implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate Continuous Improvement (CI) activities
across the plant to identify and implement process enhancements, cost savings, and waste reduction opportunities.
Engage teams and individuals
to generate ideas for process improvements, fostering a culture of participation and accountability.
Analyse current standards and performance data
to identify improvement opportunities in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Develop and implement improvement plans
, including Kaizen events, 5S, standard work, and problem-solving workshops.
Prepare cost-benefit analyses
and ROI justifications for proposed improvement projects.
Monitor and report project results
, tracking progress against targets and communicating outcomes to leadership.
Train and coach employees
in CI tools and techniques, ensuring sustainable improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
(Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to align improvement activities with business objectives.
Standardize best practices
and ensure consistent application of continuous improvement methods across the site.
Support performance management systems
, including KPI tracking and visual management boards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field (preferred).
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement roles.
Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.
Proven experience facilitating team-based improvement projects.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
