Job Title: Delivery Consultant






Location:

Bristol / Hybrid

Contract:

3-month initial engagement (with flexibility to scale)




Role Purpose





To act as a strategic delivery partner for an education client, ensuring successful execution of technology modernisation initiatives, driving process improvements, and embedding best practices across delivery governance, stakeholder engagement, and agile execution.




Key Responsibilities




Delivery Leadership & Governance

+ Own delivery planning and execution for client workstreams, ensuring alignment with roadmap and contractual commitments. + Lead governance reporting (QBRs, sprint reviews) and maintain transparency through metrics (velocity, quality, audits).
+ Apply continuous improvement methodologies to uplift delivery practices and challenge the status quo.

Stakeholder Management

+ Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams. + Develop and execute communication strategies tailored to different stakeholder levels (from technical leads to exec sponsors).

Technical & Process Oversight

+ Collaborate with architects and product managers to ensure technical feasibility and roadmap alignment. + Support QA process improvements, including automation strategies

Team Enablement

+ Coach and mentor cross-functional teams (developers, BAs, QAs) to ensure agile ceremonies and delivery excellence. + Coordinate dependencies across multiple streams and manage risk proactively.

Commercial & Reporting

+ Monitor project costs, manage changes, and ensure SLA adherence. + Prepare and present commercial and delivery reports to client leadership.






Essential Skills & Experience




Proven experience in

delivery consulting

within complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Strong understanding of

agile methodologies

, governance frameworks, and software delivery lifecycle. Ability to

challenge technical and process assumptions

and drive improvements. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Familiarity with

contractual and commercial management

(T&M models, work orders). Experience in

education technology

or similar regulated sectors is a plus.



Desirable Certifications




Agile (Scrum Master, SAFe) Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) ITIL or equivalent service management frameworks
