Legacy GLM Group Limited is a fast-growing, multi-division construction and facilities services company specialising in Groundworks & Landscaping, Reactive & Planned Maintenance, Passive Fire Protection (BM Trada-accredited), and Refurbishments & Dilapidations.
We are seeking a highly experienced
Contracts/Operations Manager
to join our leadership team. This senior role requires someone with a proven track record in managing contracts, labour, and budgets across a range of construction and maintenance projects. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards, while also driving strong client relationships and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple contracts across all divisions, ensuring full compliance with client requirements, BM Trada standards, and health & safety regulations.
Oversee and coordinate labour resources, including site teams and subcontractors, to ensure efficient delivery of works.
Control project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial performance targets are consistently achieved.
Negotiate and review contracts, supplier agreements, and subcontractor arrangements.
Implement and improve operational processes to maximise efficiency and productivity across projects.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining excellent communication and building long-term partnerships.
Report to company Directors on contract performance, operational efficiency, and profitability.
The Ideal Candidate
Extensive experience in a senior management role such as Contracts Manager, Operations Manager, or similar within construction, maintenance, or facilities services.
Demonstrable ability to manage contracts, labour, and budgets effectively.
Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and financial management capability.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct teams to achieve results.
Established industry relationships that can support both project delivery and client development are highly desirable.
Knowledge of fire protection, groundworks, refurbishments, or maintenance services is advantageous.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the South East.
