Craddys are the largest privately owned civil and structural engineering consultancy in the South West with additional offices in Bath, Cardiff, Exeter, Wakefield. With a T/O in excess of 6M we provide engineering consultancy services to a wide range of clients and sectors across the UK with project values ranging from 1M to 150M.
An exciting opportunity has opened up for an enthusiastic and experienced Contract Reviewer, with a professional approach to risk management, to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our directors to review the terms of appointments, framework agreements, collateral warranties and the like. This position requires a strong understanding of construction contracts or commercial contracts in general, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and work independently. A legal background would be an added advantage.
Duties
With support from Directors, manage the contract review process.
Liaise with PII insurers and external advisors.
Review documents against insurer's advice.
Provide detailed comments to Project Managers and Directors.
Assist in negotiation process with clients and their legal advisors.
Provide ad hoc contract advice to Project Managers.
Oversee control of documents and records.
Qualifications
Proven experience in contract document review.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups of people.
Proficient command of the English language.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing risk.
Legal background desirable but not essential.
