Longcliffe is delighted to be seeking a Contractor Receptionist to join our team at Brassington Moor Quarry.
With operations centred around our two quarries, Brassington Moor and Ryder Point, Longcliffe produces over 100 products serving a diverse range of vital industries -- from animal feeds and agricultural fertilisers to glass and plasterboard manufacturing. In addition, we operate two wind turbines that contribute renewable energy to the national grid.

In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for contractors and visitors arriving at Brassington Moor Quarry, ensuring they are inducted safely and efficiently. You'll also play a key role in supporting the Health and Safety department with administrative duties and maintaining contractor compliance records.
You will report directly to the Health and Safety Manager and work closely with teams across the quarry and processing sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
Contractor and Visitor Management
Act as the first point of contact for all contractors and visitors to site.
Ensure signing-in and deployment procedures are followed accurately.
Deliver Health and Safety inductions to new or refreshing contractors and visitors, maintaining accurate records.
Regularly update the contractor database and notify relevant managers when required documentation is missing or out of date.
Administrative Support
Provide administrative support to the Health and Safety department.
Offer additional administrative assistance to Quarry and Processing teams as required.
Manage meeting rooms, the reception 4x4 vehicle, and other equipment sign-outs (e.g. radios).
Manage the goods in area, processing the receipts and notifying departments of deliveries.
Safety and Equipment Management
Facilitate and maintain stock management and issue of PPE, ensuring accurate record keeping.
Perform the role of Fire Warden for the Quarry offices and coordinate regular drills.
Manage emergency response equipment, including defibrillators and first aid kits.
Contributing to risk assessments applicable to the role.
General Responsibilities
Contribute to maintaining a high standard of health and safety across site.
Engage positively in company Health and Safety events and initiatives.
Suggest potential improvements to site safety, systems, and processes.
Person Specification
To be truly successful in this role, you will have:
Essential
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Publisher.
Confident and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong attention to detail and the ability to input precise data.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with people at all levels.
Enthusiastic, reliable, and well-organised.
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Maintaining high standards of stock management and housekeeping.
Desirable
Knowledge or experience of using Microsoft Teams.

25,000 - 28,000 depending on experience
