Are you an experienced contracts and quality assurance professional looking for a new challenge? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Contracts and Quality Assurance Lead to join our Children and Family Services Directorate. You will play a key role in ensuring that services commissioned to support our young people are of high quality and are procured effectively in order to deliver the maximum value to the local authority.
You will be responsible for:
Ensuring all commissioned services are safe and deliver a high quality of care, education or support to young people.
Making sure that services are procured effectively and compliantly.
Implementing robust contract management processes
Supporting the council to deliver value for money through its contracts.
Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
The ideal candidate will have:
Extensive experience in contract management or quality assurance within a similar environment
Experience of procuring services
A solid understanding of the principles of safeguarding and how to ensure the best outcomes for children
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Data analysis and reporting skills

You will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement starting at 29 days per annum (plus public holidays) Rising by an additional 5 days after 5 years' service.
