Contracts Manager - HVAC Projects (Office & Site Based)

About the Role

Due to continued growth, Cosaf Environments Ltd is recruiting for a Contracts Manager to take a senior leadership position within our expanding Industrial HVAC division. This role will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple industrial HVAC projects across the UK.

You will manage a team of Senior Project Managers & coordination staff, ensure contractual compliance, safeguard project margins, and provide strategic operational support across all stages of project delivery - from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC project delivery with the commercial acumen to manage performance and ensure client satisfaction on all fronts.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and management of Cosaf's Project Managers, Engineers and subcontract teams. Oversight of project performance against programme, budget, and quality benchmarks. Act as the senior point of contact for key clients - ensuring expectations are managed and exceeded. Support scope finalisation on complex projects. Monitor and enforce compliance with all contractual obligations, CDM Regulations, and H&S requirements. Attend internal planning meetings and provide regular commercial and programme updates to Cosaf's senior management team. Manage contract variations, delay mitigation strategies, and claims negotiations as necessary. Oversee procurement of high-value equipment, materials, labour and subcontractors. Assist in the development and refinement of internal delivery procedures and project controls. Support recruitment, development and training of project delivery staff. Step in to support project acceleration or recovery as required. Manage staff workload and understand colleague strengths with view on fair delegation of project responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager or equivalent within the HVAC, M&E or Building Services sectors. Strong commercial awareness with a detailed understanding of contract management. Knowledge of HVAC systems including ductwork, pipework, AC, thermal insulation, plant installations and electrical/ controls works. Demonstrable leadership skills, with experience managing multiple concurrent projects and teams. Excellent communication and negotiation skills - both written and verbal. Able to produce and interpret programme information, RAMS, and client documentation. IOSH / SMSTS / NEBOSH desirable. Relevant technical qualifications preferred.
