Contracts Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Contracts Manager experienced in the Work at Height / Construction Industry, with the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced yet warm and informal environment.

Requirements



Proven experience in the Work at Height or Construction industry. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong organisational skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Contract Preparation.



Contract handover, upon instruction- Review (with Operations Team) cost build ups and quoted works, with material and labour allowances,

Site survey (under MD guidance initially) for quote/design/proposal development/RAMS preparation & site-specific information, with direct client interface.

Handover of site information for quote development to AR Directors.

Health & Safety



Prepare RAMS & submit to Client for approval/acceptance.

Seek CPD and achieve NVQ and/or IOSH qualification in Managing safely.

CSCS- Obtain relevant card and commit to ongoing NVQ development and qualification in applicable accreditation

Design



Issue site survey data to design team, with requirements detailed

Comment, accept, save, and issue for approval, where required, all design information

Request fabrication drawing generation from design team, save and record.

Procurement.



Issue fabrication details to suppliers, check against budget, record, and place purchase orders.

Confirm delivery dates/addresses and contacts.

Place orders with buyout item suppliers- handrail/Mansafe components etc

Order fixings, either online or via purchase order.

Saving all relevant information to contract file and folder structure

Supplier follow ups for delivery dates to site in correct sequence.

Planning



Weekly look ahead and works sequencing with Operations Team.

Allocating tooling/equipment/vehicles

Confirm site attendances with sites/clients.

Vehicle planning who/where/when

Source Labour / subbies as and when required

Update site teams of up-and-coming works

Arrange via Operations Admin, any plant, equipment and materials, collections, and deliveries

Attend and participate in weekly and monthly team planning meetings.

Contract delivery



Job information- generate hard copy job information where required and issue/provide to site teams.

Attend site, with site teams where required, for handover

Support site teams where required, client trouble shooting, assistance with site issues and challenges via client interface.

Record and highlight at occurrence all non-allowed for elements, such as delays, no material off load, non-completes etc, to client and to Finance for delay and change cost recovery.

Attend site, when required to review works and any problems with client, for problem resolution.

Handovers



Complete and issue to Operations Admin, info for handovers, for staged completed works on site, to record and handover completed works, to provide contractual protection to AR, upon live construction projects

Financial



Instructions to proceed from site- review and obtain approval to proceed from Finance team

Project costs review, pre, during and post completion with MD

Changes/Variations- record and report to Finance team for cost recovery

Job completion invoicing- updates to Finance team

Ongoing



Weekly contract review with Operations team.

Attendance at Monthly Management meetings.

Work with Operations team upon training matrix expansion and update

Pay: From 40,000.00 per year
