Contracts Manager.

This is a pivotal position where you'll lead on the procurement, mobilisation, and ongoing management of a wide range of contracts--from repairs and maintenance to specialist services--ensuring they are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with maximum value. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement that directly benefits the communities we serve.

Our Freebridge Community Housing goal is to provide affordable, safe, and quality homes for current and future generations, for those who need a place to call home. Freebridge was set up in 2006, to receive the transfer of the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk's housing stock. We now have over 7500 properties across west and north Norfolk, in addition to building new homes for social and affordable rent, and to support those who want to move into shared home ownership. What you'll be doing:



Overseeing all aspects of contract negotiations, obligations, implementation and delivery to ensure optimal efficiency. Holding contractors accountable for service delivery, conduct, and meeting contractual obligations. Collaborating with Procurement to design and procure new contracts, including selecting contract types, preparing specifications, and managing mobilization. Managing budgets, pricing, and payment applications with robust financial controls and adherence to procurement regulations. Ensuring Section 20 consultation requirements are identified and addressed during procurement. Driving contractor improvement plans, joint initiatives, and savings opportunities to foster strong client-contractor relationships. Overseeing contract records, performance tracking, and delivery of social value. Supporting the DLO contract team and leading on contracts without a direct owner. Ensuring contracts are delivered in line with FCH's contract management framework and relevant legislation (PCR2015, PA23). Providing line management to the Contracts Co-ordinator

What we're looking for:



Strong knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and best practice requirements in contract management. In-depth understanding of contract management principles and public procurement processes. Experience mobilising contracts and managing multiple contracts within a formal framework. Proven experience in social housing or a related sector. Skilled in writing contracts, specifications, and schedules Experience producing and analysing contract management reports and KPIs. Strong financial and legal acumen, with the ability to analyse data and manage budgets effectively. Confident leader with excellent negotiation, persuasion, and judgement skills. Clear communicator, able to explain complex information in plain English. Highly organised, methodical, and able to prioritise competing demands. Skilled in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Full UK driving license and use of a vehicle covered by sufficient car insurance for business use.
