CM Civils & Surveys Ltd is a leading civil engineering company operating throughout Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas. Since our establishment in 2020, we have experienced significant growth and now manage several specialised divisions, including site engineering, setting out, surveying, and comprehensive groundworks across a wide range of sectors such as residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural.
Following a year of substantial expansion, we have a number of exciting projects scheduled for 2026, alongside ambitious plans for further growth. As a result, we are looking to strengthen our in-house team to support the successful delivery of these upcoming projects.

Based in Lincolnshire, with projects delivered across the East Midlands.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our dynamic and expanding team. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on budget, and to the required standards. You'll oversee the organisation and management of plant, labour, and materials across your sites. You'll also play an important part in helping the business grow by supporting relationships with both new and existing clients, contributing to the long-term success of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for day-to-day site management on your allocated projects, carrying out regular visits to check progress, quality, and compliance with building regulations and programme requirements.
Full responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account and defects period
Ensure each project has the necessary resources to meet delivery, safety, and quality requirements.
Managing site teams, subcontractors and supply chain.
Drive site programmes, commercial performance and health, safety and quality standards
Oversee health and safety performance, working closely with Director, H&S team, and site personnel.
Assess and monitor the competency of site teams and subcontractors in line with Cm Civils & Surveys Ltd.'s safety, welfare, and environmental procedures.
Manage overall job performance and ensure targets are met, Producing site programmes providing guidance for on site teams.
Collaborate with the commercial team on cost control, variations, tender understanding, and agreed specifications.
Maintain strong communication channels between site teams and the office.
Build and maintain positive relationships with client representatives to ensure smooth delivery and long-term collaboration.
Support the development, mentoring, and training of team members.
Working closely with the Director to ensure up to date on the latest project timelines, scope of work, team changes and allocations.
Requirements:
Experience working within the groundworks or civil engineering sector in a similar role.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Previous experience as a Contracts Manager in the Civil Engineering sector, with solid knowledge of groundworks.
Confident in both written and verbal communication.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively.
Basic IT skills - MS Office.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to act promptly.
Reliable, professional, and diplomatic in approach.
Full, clean driving licence.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Project management or construction-related competencies are advantageous.
HNC or degree in civil engineering, construction management, or project management is desirable.
Recognised health and safety qualification for construction sites.
Knowledge of groundworks-related plant and materials.

Pay: 45,000.00-55,000.00 per year
