Role Overview
The Contracts Manager will take full responsibility for managing and overseeing contractual, commercial, and operational aspects of construction logistics projects. This role involves ensuring that all logistics services (such as site set-up, traffic management, waste management, material handling, and security) are delivered in line with client requirements, agreed contracts, and company standards. The Contracts Manager will act as the primary point of contact for clients, supply chain partners, and internal teams, ensuring commercial compliance, operational excellence, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple logistics contracts across active construction projects.
Oversee contractual negotiations, ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry regulations, and company policies.
Monitor contract performance, KPIs, and SLAs to ensure service delivery and client satisfaction.
Provide cost control and commercial management of projects, including budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
Lead contract administration including variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
Collaborate with project teams and site logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business.
Manage subcontractor and supplier performance in line with agreed terms.
Ensure all logistics operations comply with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.
Report regularly to senior management on financial performance, risks, and opportunities
.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in construction logistics.
Background in construction logistics, supply chain management, or site operations.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and client management skills.
Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience in cost control and forecasting.
Knowledge of health & safety and environmental compliance in construction logistics.
Skills & Competencies
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects/contracts simultaneously.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
Attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
Proficient in contract management systems, MS Office, and project management tools.
