Overview


Maylim Landscapes are looking for a passionate and motivated Contracts Manager with a professional and proactive approach to the Commercial Landscape Industry.

The Contracts Manager will be a natural leader, driving the business as a whole forward by delivering safe, efficient and high-quality projects.

Our projects are all within the very highest-end of landscaping design across London. We operate within public realm, roof terraces, public parks, residential buildings, commercial spaces and more.

As part of a growing and expanding business, the role will play a key part in strengthening client relationships, supporting scalable delivery across multiple sites and contributing to continuous improvement in systems, standards and commercial performance.

Key Accountabilities



Contract & Programme Management



Manage multiple soft landscaping contracts on projects from pre-start through to completion

Develop and manage short and long-term programmes, aligned with overall construction schedules

Attend pre-start and progress meetings with MC teams

Ensure timely mobilisation and demobilisation of site teams and resources

Commercial Management



Control contract budgets, prepare CVR's monthly

Manage variations and support final accounts

Site & Operations Delivery



Act as primary point of contact, oversee site managers, supervisors, and subcontractors across live sites

Coordinate soft landscaping works with other trades, ensuring access, sequencing and protection of completed works

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with specification and drawings. Manage snagging and handover to maintenance team.

Manage logistics, materials and labour in line with site constraints

Health, Safety & Compliance



Ensure compliance with main contractor H&S standards as well as Maylim Landscapes company policies and procedures.

Review, implement, and monitor RAMS and construction phase plans

Carry out site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks

Maintain high standards of environmental and sustainability compliance

Requirements



Knowledge / Technical:



Professional qualification - NVQ Level 6 or Lantra Level 5

Hands-on experience in landscape construction

CSCS/LISS Management card

SMSTS or ROLO Managers

Ability to work full-time and travel across London

Behavioural Skills:



Working as 'one team' across multiple different project sites each week to deliver exceptional results.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team

A self-starter who is organised and proactive without a need to be managed closely.

Strong time management skills and the ability to plan visits to several sites every week.

Enthusiasm and drive to develop a career in the horticultural industry. Recognising the fantastic opportunity to work on schemes at the highest end of the industry.

An attention to detail and strong reporting skills.

Previous Experience:



10 years+ experience in Landscape construction

5 years in Project/Contracts Management
