We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Contract Manager to oversee and coordinate contractual agreements within our organisation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing multiple projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. The Contract Manager will be responsible for leading teams, negotiating terms, and maintaining meticulous records using industry-standard software tools.
Our office is in Buckingham, and the majority of work is in Beds, Bucks, Herts and Ox.
Duties
Manage the entire lifecycle of contracts from inception to completion, ensuring all terms are adhered to and deadlines met.
Negotiate contractual terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favourable outcomes while maintaining professional relationships.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth project execution, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards.
Oversee the organisation of documentation related to contracts, amendments, and correspondence using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Lead meetings with stakeholders to discuss project milestones, address issues promptly, and update relevant parties on progress.
Ensure timely delivery of projects by effectively managing time and resources across multiple concurrent contracts.
Conduct risk assessments related to contractual obligations and implement mitigation strategies as necessary.
Drive continuous improvement in contract processes by analysing outcomes and implementing best practices.
Experience
Proven management experience in a contract or project management role within the construction industry, specifically Painting and Decorating .
Strong negotiation skills demonstrated through successful contract negotiations that benefit organisational objectives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as specialised project management software such as HS Direct.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
Demonstrable leadership qualities capable of guiding teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Sound understanding of construction processes, legal frameworks related to contracts, and IT systems relevant to project management.
Effective communication skills essential for liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Valid driving licence is essential for site visits or meetings outside the office environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional seeking a challenging position that combines strategic management with operational execution in a dynamic environment.
