Job Summary

Clegg & Shortman Asphalt Co. Ltd are a Plymouth based and family owned roofing contractor, established in 1975.

We are seeking a Contract Manager, experienced in various roofing systems to oversee and manage contracts throughout their lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, negotiating terms, and fostering strong relationships with existing and potential clients. This role requires a comprehensive knowledge of various roofing systems, predominantly felt/flat roofing, liquid systems and asphalt, preferably with a working knowledge of Bauder and IKO systems.

Duties

Monitor new customer enquiries, including site visits, inspections and the preparation of specifications, proposals of work and subsequent quotations. Manage the preparation, negotiation, and execution of contracts. Collaborate with various departments to ensure that all obligations are met. Maintain comprehensive records of all contracts and related documentation. Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues that arise promptly. Communicate effectively with internal teams/colleagues, clients, subcontractors and external third parties to facilitate smooth contract processes. Provide guidance on contract-related matters to ensure clarity and understanding. Oversee the ordering of materials, arrangement of site facilities and subcontractors, schedule the necessary labour and Conduct regular reviews of existing contracts to identify opportunities for improvement or renegotiation.

Skills

Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple contracts simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Word and other office software applications. Solid understanding of IT systems relevant to contract management processes. Excellent organisational skills, enabling effective prioritisation of tasks and deadlines. Ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Exceptional time management skills to ensure timely completion of projects. Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms for the organisation. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.

Pay: 32,000.00-42,000.00 per year
