We are now seeking a proactive and highly organised Contracts Manager to oversee the smooth delievery of our roofing projects.
Role Overview
Prepare, manage, and report on larger projects that require regular site visits in Hants, Wilts, Dorset, Surrey, Berks, Somerset, and West Sussex. The projects will range in value from approximately. 15k to 400k. Some key elements of the role will include:
Technical Oversight:
Act as the primary technical resource for the site team, providing expert guidance and support.
Manage and facilitate technical conversations within the team, ensuring clear communication and problem-solving.
Attend pre-start, progress, and sign-off meetings with the client
Scheduling and Planning:
Develop and maintain detailed labour schedules to ensure timely project completion.
Coordinate with the team to plan and allocate resources effectively.
Read all key documents to get familiar with the project - manufactures spec, surveyors' spec, BOQ, collated materials, labour summary, item details, take-off drawings, contract, etc.
Run through project handovers with the estimating team, raising any queries from documents.
Negotiate with and book in labour and subcontractors for projects
Materials Management:
Approve material orders and manage stock levels in the yard to ensure project needs are met without delays.
Quality Control:
Oversee quality control processes, ensuring all work meets the highest standards.
Perform final sign-offs on completed work to ensure it adheres to company and industry standards.
Prepare and provide the client with handover documents - O&M manuals, guarantees etc.
Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe work environment.
Prepare RAMS & Construction Phase Plans
Hold a valid Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.
Check all sub-contractors RAMS, certificates, and insurance etc.
Undertake site setup meetings, inductions, and toolbox talks with operatives and subcontractors.
Problem Solving
:
Address and resolve any issues that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
Implement solutions to maintain project continuity and efficiency.
Data Collection and Reporting:
Collect data on progress and production, providing regular updates to senior management.
Monitor and report on project performance, identifying areas for improvement.
During site visits - record health and safety, progress, variations, delays etc.
Email clients to confirm anything discuss on site
Programme Understanding:
Prepare a programme of works
Have a comprehensive understanding of the project programme and ensure all activities align with the planned schedule.
Team Training:
Conduct on-site training sessions with the site team to ensure all members are skilled and knowledgeable about their tasks.
Qualifications and Skills:
Extensive experience in Flat roofing
Proven experience in scheduling, planning, and resource allocation.
Valid SMSTS certification.
Proficient in data collection, reporting, and analysing project performance.
Ability to train and mentor team members effectively.
Valid UK Driving license (with no more than 6 points)

Pay: 50,000.00-65,000.00 per year
