Job Role


We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to lead a portfolio of civil/utilities engineering projects across Manchester and Yorkshire.



The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple civil engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality delivery within budget and time constraints. They will take the lead on client relationships, manage and influence site teams, oversee subcontractor performance, and develop a robust pipeline of works to achieve business targets and required margins. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering, extensive experience managing Site Manager's and have a proven track record of delivering complex projects.

Duties


Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key partner throughout project lifecycles. Manage and coordinate multiple civil engineering projects simultaneously. Ensure project delivery aligns with budget, quality, and programme requirements. Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Lead and mentor site teams, fostering a high-performance culture. Identify and develop opportunities to grow the project pipeline and business.

Person Specification


Strong client engagement and stakeholder management skills. Extensive experience managing multiple civil engineering projects. HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification. Proven ability to manage costs, budgets, and subcontractor performance. SMSTS / CSCS Black Card / First Aid certification. Full UK Driver's License (no more than 6 points).

Contract Type: Permanent


Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday
