Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Contracts Manager specializing in Commercial Gas/Mechanical/Electrical projects. This role involves managing a varied portfolio of small works projects ranging from 500 to 1,200,000+, covering domestic, commercial, and renewable sectors. You will oversee all site-based operations, ensuring projects meet required standards, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage site-based operations to ensure project completion to required standards. Liaise with clients and site staff to ensure clear understanding and delivery of project requirements. Maintain and operate the Gas Safe accreditation for the business. Manage quotes for non-minor projects and review escalated quotes within 48 hours. Complete and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). Conduct Health & Safety audits and document findings. Accurately order materials in coordination with the Procurement team. Work with the Helpdesk team to ensure labour availability. Keep clients updated on project progress, set expectations, and conduct completion reviews. Manage a team of engineers, focusing on professional development and performance. Set parameters for project completion and manage budgets effectively. Maximize commercial potential within each project/customer. Handle escalated issues and manage annual revenue of 1,500,000+.

Skills/Abilities Required:

Ability to manage a high volume of small works projects. Dedication to maintaining the highest quality standards. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate others. Strong communication skills with an organized approach to project completion. Commercial awareness with experience operating under different contract conditions. Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Ability to create small works quotes and arrange labour for site work. Technical support provision for clients and the engineering team.
Preferable Qualifications: (Ideally from a trade background, electrical or gas)

Current Gas Safe Registration Commercial Gas qualifications: COCN1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TCPA1 Unvented Hot Water certification Minimum of 3 years' experience in the commercial sector within the FM industry REFCOM / FGAS relevant qualifications 18th Edition 2391
