Contracts Manager
Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Contracts Manager to join our team. This role will primarily be based at our Staverton site, with occasional travel to support our other sites in Bishops Cleeve & Tewksbury.

Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Contracts Manager role is to manage all contracts the business is negotiating and entering, which will include writing, evaluating, negotiation and executing various contracts covering a range of transactions in addition to creating and maintaining relationships with our suppliers and customers.
Main responsibilities:Commercial Governance to ensure and maintain effective governance in line with our policies and procedures.
Contract Management where you'll oversee the entire life cycle of contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating and executing various agreements.
Customer Relations where you'll liaise with customers on contractual matters, maintaining and building positive business relationships.
Bids and Proposals where your role contributes to the commercial aspects of bids and draft terms and conditions.
Team Leadership where you'll be able to support less experienced team members with their career development.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ideally degree educated with 3 years' experience in a Commercial Contracts role.
Understanding of the UK and US defence aerospace markets including being able to identify and advise the business of the contractual requirements.
Experience with US Federal Acquisition FARS/DFARS and UK MOD DEFONs
Knowledge of UK, Europe and US Export regulations.
Understanding and experience working with different contractual agreements, such as non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), production and aftermarket agreements.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills including a professional, confident and "can do" attitude.
Able to respond positively to changing situations/priorities to achieve Company objectives.
Awareness and experience of bids and proposals processes and procedures.
Confident at working with any stakeholder within the business, being able to build and maintain successful relationships.
