Contracts Manager - Soft Landscaping

Salary & Benefits:

40k - 45k pa dependent on experience plus bonus scheme and company vehicle

Kennet Landscapes are a busy and thriving commercial landscaping company based in Hermitage near Newbury and are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to work as part of a well established team in overseeing and managing our soft landscaping contracts. You will be responsible for managing around 15 active sites at any time with responsibility for up to 20 employees. Sites will vary from smaller bespoke developments up to major developments that consist of several hundred plots together with SANG and POS areas.

Duties will include:

Line management responsibility for a team of up to 20 employees Planning work schedules for your teams Reading site plans and delivering clear instructions to teams Undertaking site visits and completing reports Maintaining a strong working relationship with customers and suppliers Ensure teams are compliant with health and safety requirements Co ordinating the ordering of materials and distribution to site Working to departmental budgets
Other responsibilities will include:

Ensuring that projects are completed to the quality required. Working alongside other departments in the business to ensure smooth operation. Day to day organisation of individual projects. Regular reporting to the Operations Manager on your departments income and expenditure against budget

Key Skills:

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following skills / experience:

- Minimum 3 years management experience in construction and/or landscaping.

- Experience working with Microsoft Office including proven excel knowledge

- Excellent plant and tree knowledge

- Ability to read and interpret site plans

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively under pressure

- Able to manage multiple teams and overcome challenges calmly and efficiently

- Excellent organisation and time management skills

- Construction Health & Safety knowledge

- Minimum CSCS qualification. SSSTS preferred.

- Clean driving licence

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
