Contracts Manager

Job Role

We are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to lead and deliver key highway maintenance schemes in Worcestershire.

Duties

Oversee the successful delivery of highway maintenance projects, from inception, through design development, mobilisation, implementation and completion. Lead and develop a team to achieve performance targets, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. Manage resources effectively to optimise service delivery and meet contractual KPIs. Monitor budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost-effective operations. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and local authorities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on safety, compliance, and innovation in service delivery. Ensure all operations align with health, safety, and environmental best practices.

Person Specification

Proven experience in contracts or project management, ideally within highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, at differing stages of delivery, with an ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively. Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive performance and team development. Commercial awareness, including budget and P&L management. Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations. A proactive mindset with a focus on efficiency, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 40 - Monday to Friday
