So what's your next change?


An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Control and Instrumentation Engineer focussed on avionics within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Filton. You will join the Test Centre (1VM) and will contribute to the development and maintenance of the Fuel and Landing Gear test means. There are a variety of different test means on site (standalone test means, integration means, landing gear zero means) which are typically used for the validation and certification of new avionics and system functions for Fuel and Landing Gear Systems.





HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM



Create electrical schematics and provide architecture design solutions, ensuring all existing and new technical documentation is accurately updated or created. Specify all necessary instrumentation (for pressure, flow, voltage, current, etc.) including any required signal conditioning and power supply requirements. Lead or contribute to large-scale electrical design projects, delivering complete test rigs as part of a project team. Provide technical support for in-service test benches, performing diagnostics and investigations to remedy electrical issues. Deliver technical solutions for test bench modification requirements, including the process to design, test, and verify the changes.

ABOUT YOU



Experience working with instrumentation and control systems. Knowledge of Electrical Design Tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad). Understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation definition, design and testing principles.
