Job Description

Lead the operational core of a critical utility. We are seeking a highly professional Control Centre Manager to oversee our 24/7 Central Operations Control Room--the technological hub providing essential remote monitoring and supervision of our complete above and below ground infrastructure.

This role is paramount to ensuring the continuous, high-quality supply of drinking water. As Control Centre Manager, you will provide a holistic operational overview, expertly coordinating planned works and serving as the definitive central point of escalation for out-of-hours corrective measures.

Success hinges on decisive, composed leadership and exceptional problem-solving skills--the ability to motivate a team, make rapid, high-stakes decisions under pressure, and communicate critical status updates clearly and concisely to both field teams and senior management.

Essential Experience and Knowledge

Shift Team Leadership:

Proven experience in effectively managing and mentoring teams, with specific expertise operating within a 24/7 or rotational shift pattern environment to ensure continuous coverage.

Control Room Operations:

Direct and demonstrable experience working within a high-tempo Control Room environment, ideally within the critical utilities sector (water, energy, or similar infrastructure).

Change Leadership:

Practical experience contributing to or leading change projects/programmes within an organisation undergoing significant transformation or growth.

Regulated Sector:

Extensive experience working effectively and adhering to stringent compliance requirements within a highly regulated operational environment.

Incident Command:

Hands-on experience in formal Incident Management or Emergency Response protocols, including leading specific operational workstreams during high-pressure events.

Utility Infrastructure:

Knowledge of water treatment processes, water distribution networks, and the critical infrastructure necessary for their operation.

Data Management:

Proven proficiency in handling, analysing, and synthesizing operational insights from multiple complex data sources to inform rapid decision-making.

Compensation package:

Up to 70,000 + car allowance.
