The Control Room Operator plays a crucial role in monitoring and managing operations within a control room environment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to analyse data effectively. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, responding to incidents, and maintaining safety protocols while providing exceptional service to clients. They will have experience in customer service and be competent in the use of computers. Please note this role is a night shift only position.
Duties
Monitor and control various systems and processes within the control room environment.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
Maintain accurate records of operations, incidents, and communications.
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Perform data entry tasks with precision to keep operational records up to date.
Provide support to members of public for a variety of intercom systems.
Provide support in training new staff members on control room procedures and protocols.
Skills
Proficient in English.
Strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Excellent analytical skills for assessing situations and making informed decisions.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Competence in data entry tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
A valid SIA Licence in Public space is an advantage but not essential.
