Control Room Operator

to join our fast-paced team and play a key role in coordinating vehicle recoveries and breakdown responses.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle incoming calls from customers, roadside technicians, and third parties. Assess breakdown situations and dispatch recovery vehicles accordingly. Monitor ongoing jobs and communicate updates with relevant parties. Use GPS tracking and dispatch systems to manage resources efficiently. Maintain accurate logs of all calls and activities in line with company procedures. Provide excellent customer service in stressful or time-sensitive situations. Liaise with police, highways agencies, and other emergency services when needed.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a control room, dispatch, logistics, or customer service role (preferred). Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure. Comfortable using IT systems, dispatch software, and GPS tracking tools. Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Knowledge of the vehicle recovery or breakdown industry is advantageous but not essential -- full training provided.
