We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a

Specialist - Controllership Accountant

to become a vital part of our

Finance Team

at our Fresh Produce packing facility in Normanton. If you are passionate about Finance and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!

Position Details:

o Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

o Location: IPL Normanton -Hybrid working (2 days per week from home)

o Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

Oversight and management of the group balance sheet reconciliation and review process Preparation of annual Balance Sheet Plans, and monthly forecasting and analysis Review and challenge of prepared balance sheet reconciliations, driving continual improvements in control and efficiency Reporting and analysis of working capital movements, including supporting and challenging the business on inventory balances Assist in preparation of statutory accounts across the IPL Group Support with external and internal audits and responding to queries, findings and action plans Ownership of forecasting and accounting processes for hedging and foreign exchange Business partnering other IPL teams on areas of financial control, including advising on correct accounting treatment

What are we looking for?

Previous experience of working in audit or in a control-oriented finance team Experience of balance sheet reporting and review Qualified or actively studying towards an accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) Adaptable to change with a proven record of delivering process improvement Strong Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical and prioritising skills Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels Approachable with customer focus - must be able to challenge where appropriate Good team player - who can work under own initiative
