The Role-

Control Manager maintains a strong and consistent control environment through a joint accountability model that aligns managers with each line of business, function and region to mitigate operational risk. The team focuses on five areas: Risk Identification & Assessment, Control Design & Evaluation, Issue Management, Regulatory Change, and Control Governance & Reporting. The role of Analytics & Reporting Automation supports the control environment by ensuring that data is presented in way which can be understood, trends can be analysed and where necessary and acted upon.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving the ICB data analytics and automation solution for ICB Control Managers and Senior Management
  • Enabling effective use of data by presenting complex data in simple, concise way
  • Utilising control management data from various firmwide tools (CORE and Jira)
  • Maintaining data modelling and mapping between tools
  • Delivering reporting requirements in line with control management needs
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and create a more resilient control practices environment and participate in projects to deliver improvements
  • Engagement with senior stakeholders
  • Acting as primary point of contact for the ICB data analytics and automation solution for ICB Control Managers and Senior Management
  • Partnering with ICB Data team for planning & implementation of the solutions
Skills/ Qualifications:
  • Professional experience in developing, maintaining and manage advance reporting, analytics, dashboards in tableau and alteryx is required.
  • Ability to reconcile, analyse and interpret data, and to summarise key messages to senior stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to present work accurately and professionally.
  • Work autonomously to affect change. Flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and influencing skills; including written and oral communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of details and form depending on audience.
  • Flexibility and ability to partner with other team members across global time zones.
  • Moderate level of independent decision-making using sound judgement.
  • Proactive, self-starter able to consistently deliver work of a high standard whilst managing conflicting priorities, comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Team player who works well with colleagues of all levels in achieving results, and willing to take personal accountability.
  • Presence and ability to engage with senior management.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Power Point and Excel.
