Job Overview


We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Conveyancer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property transactions, ensuring that all legal requirements are met efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of IT systems relevant to property law.

Duties



Manage the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather necessary information. Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts and transfer deeds. Conduct property searches and liaise with local authorities as required. Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the conveyancing process. Provide expert advice to clients regarding their property transactions. Ensure timely responses to queries and manage deadlines effectively. Utilise IT systems for document management and communication purposes.
You will be running your own residential caseload which include but may not be limited to sales and purchases of freehold; leasehold; new build and shared ownership properties as well as remortgages and transfers of equity.

You must be able to confidently conduct title checks on draft contract documentation/ prepare draft contract packs, raise/respond to enquiries, write reports on title and deal with exchange/completion of matters.

Post completion responsibilities such as billing and submitting registrations are not part of this role.

You will be required to manage incoming communications promptly and deal with your caseload in an efficient and pro-active manner.

You will be expected to provide a high standard of service to clients and keep clients, referrers and others updated as required.

Requirements



At least 2 years' experience of running your own Residential Conveyancing caseload, with minimum supervision, on a wide variety of residential property matters is essential.

Good IT aptitude such as use of internet and MS Office is essential.

You must be detail-focused and be comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.

You must have excellent organisation skills and a dedication to completing projects in a timely manner. You must have the ability to work as a team towards the common goal of handling and completing matters to a high standard of service and client satisfaction.

Full training on our procedures and protocols will be provided.

Proven experience in conveyancing or a related field is preferred. Strong time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously. Excellent organisational abilities to maintain accurate records and documentation. Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with conveyancing software and Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and colleagues professionally. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail is essential.
