We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistants to join our dynamic teams in Selsey and Chichester. In this role, you will support our conveyancing department by assisting with the preparation and processing of legal documents related to property transactions. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that transactions run smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent service to clients and maintaining strong communication with all parties involved.
Duties
Assist a conveyancer in the preparation of legal documents for property transactions, including contracts and transfer deeds.
Conduct property searches and obtain relevant information from local authorities and other agencies.
Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with legal requirements.
Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other professionals to provide updates on the progress of transactions.
Manage incoming correspondence, including emails and phone calls, responding promptly to queries.
Assist in the completion of financial statements and ensure timely payments are processed.
Support the team in administrative tasks as required to facilitate smooth operations within the department.
Experience
Previous experience in a conveyancing role or within a legal environment is essential.
Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
Proficient in using standard office software applications; familiarity with case management systems is an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism when interacting with clients and colleagues.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new processes within the conveyancing field.
