We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Conveyancing Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support our conveyancing department by assisting with the administrative tasks involved in property transactions. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth process for clients and requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of the conveyancing process.
Responsibilities
Assist solicitors and conveyancers in managing property transactions from start to finish.
Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and property searches.
Communicate with clients, estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction to gather necessary information.
Maintain accurate records and files related to each case, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Conduct research on property titles and assist in resolving any issues that may arise during the transaction.
Schedule appointments and manage calendars for solicitors within the conveyancing team.
Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant or in a similar administrative role is preferred but not essential.
A good understanding of the conveyancing process and property law is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
