Conveyancing Assistant
based in Gloucestershire. This role offers an excellent pathway for someone looking to grow within a respected legal practice, supporting experienced conveyancers in the smooth progression of residential property transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Assist conveyancers by managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organised files.
Document Preparation:
Prepare and review legal documents related to property transactions, such as contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage agreements.
Client Liaison:
Act as a point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing enquiries, and ensuring excellent client care throughout the transaction.
Search Coordination:
Carry out property-related searches, including title and local authority searches, to gather essential transaction information.
Post-Completion Tasks:
Manage post-completion procedures, such as submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) returns and registering properties with HM Land Registry.
Compliance:
Ensure all work is completed in line with current legal standards, regulatory requirements, and internal anti-money laundering policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience working within a conveyancing or legal environment is desirable.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in document preparation and data entry.
Proficiency with case management systems and general IT applications.
A good understanding of conveyancing procedures and legal documentation.
