We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support the conveyancing process by assisting solicitors and clients with various administrative tasks. This role is essential in ensuring smooth transactions and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction throughout the conveyancing process.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and processing legal documents related to property transactions, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction to gather necessary information and provide updates.
Maintain accurate records of all correspondence and documentation related to each case.
Conduct property searches and obtain relevant information from local authorities.
Manage deadlines and ensure timely submission of documents to relevant parties.
Provide administrative support to solicitors, including diary management and scheduling appointments.
Assist in resolving any queries or issues that may arise during the conveyancing process.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant or in a similar legal administrative role is preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Knowledge of conveyancing processes and property law would be advantageous but not mandatory.
