Conveyancing Assistant

Job Description

Full time (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm with an hour for lunch) Competitive salary and dependent on experience 20 days' holiday p.a. plus Christmas period closure

Key responsibilities



- Answering incoming telephone calls and being the first point of contact for the fee earner

- File management and administrative support, including opening files and updating the Case Management System

- Handling new enquiries and providing fee estimates

- Audio typing from dictation

- Preparing routine letters and legal documents (Contracts, Land Registry forms)

- Liaising with clients, solicitors and estate agents, providing updates as necessary

- Updating the mortgage portals

- ?Conducting property searches

- ?Dealing with post completion matters, including Stamp Duty Land Tax returns and preparation and submissions of Land Registry applications

Skills and experience required



- Previous experience in a residential conveyancing support role, with a strong understanding of the conveyancing process and procedures

- Exhibit a professional and approachable telephone manner

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Attention to detail

- Quick and accurate typist

- Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office

- Strong administrative and organisational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 24,000.00 per year
