We are looking to recruit a Legal Assistant to join our Residential Conveyancing Department at our head office in Nuneaton.
Duties and responsibilities include assistance with all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions, opening files, production of letters and other correspondence under supervision, maintaining files to the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) standard, completing, and submitting Land Registry forms, dealing with clients both in person and over the telephone and undertaking housekeeping duties such as filing and file closing.
The ideal candidate would ideally have legal support/secretarial experience.
The successful candidate will need to be able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced residential conveyancing department. They must possess excellent typing skills, be able to prioritise and diarise, multitask and have strong communication skills. They will also need to be proficient in the use of MS word, outlook and ideally have experience working with a case management system.
This is a full-time, office-based position working 36.25 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.15pm (1 hour for lunch). Salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
