About the Role



We are looking for a

Conveyancing Legal Assistant

, ideally with some experience within a

residential property team,

to join our friendly, office-based legal team (c. 45 staff) in Stourbridge, West Midlands.

Providing

administrative support to our conveyancing department

, you will be tasked with a varied range of secretarial and administrative jobs, with a

particular focus on file opening and post completion work

, to provide our clients with exceptional levels of care and service.

Responsibilities



Specific Duties:

Opening and creating new files Dealing with new client enquiries Using the Firm's case management system effectively Proof reading of documents Issuing initial documents Preparing forms, letters and documents within the firm's case management system Ensuring Anti-Money Laundering, ID verification, and other regulatory compliance checks are completed and reviewed. Applying for any searches required as part of the conveyancing process. Liaising with clients via both email and telephone and keeping them updated as to progress Submitting Land Registry applications online and assisting with any requisitions Providing any other required administrative support to the conveyancing fee earners Closing and archiving files Covering for other members of the conveyancing team as an when required
General Duties

Complying with the Firm's various policies and procedures, as set out in the office manual Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all practice and client documentation and information Delivering outstanding client care

Experience and Qualifications



Essential

At least two years' experience working within a legal administrative role A good standard of English, both verbal and written Legal right to live and work in the UK A good standard of computer literacy and experience working with Microsoft Office
Desirable

Experience within a Residential Conveyancing team Experience using Credas, DocuSign, and Partner for Windows software packages
