Conveyancing Assistant
based in
Gloucestershire
. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with solid experience in Eng residential conveyancing, looking to further develop their legal career within a reputable and supportive firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Support fee earners in managing residential property transactions including freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity.
Draft and review legal documents such as contracts of sale, transfer deeds, completion statements, and mortgage documentation.
Conduct property searches and assist with reviewing results (including local authority, drainage, and environmental searches).
Liaise professionally with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors, providing timely updates and maintaining excellent client care.
Handle post-completion formalities, including submission of Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) returns and registration of titles with HM Land Registry.
Maintain accurate and well-organised case files using case management software, ensuring compliance with CQS and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience as a Conveyancing Paralegal or Legal Assistant within a residential property department is essential.
Strong understanding of the conveyancing process in England and Wales.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management abilities.
Proficient in using conveyancing or legal case management systems.
A proactive and professional attitude, with the ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.
Working Arrangement:
The role is fully office-based during the probationary period. Upon successful completion of probation, a
hybrid working arrangement
will be available, offering greater flexibility while continuing to support team collaboration and client service standards.
