Here at Little Town Farm Shop we are a family run business looking for a cook/chef to join the team. We are looking for an individual that is passionate, experienced & punctual. This role is between 35-45hrs per week, working a 5 day week with one weekend day off per week.

This is a great opportunity for a cook/chef looking for a work/life balance. You will need to prepare high quality food from locally sourced ingredients, and have strong attention to detail.

We pride ourselves on a good working atmosphere and a happy kitchen. Our staff are paid for every hour they work and everyone pitches in to make things run smoothly.

This fast paced environment requires a person who will work closely in a team with others, under intense pressure for high level cuisine and fantastic food presentation. Whilst being able to work in a team you should also take your own initiative, be passionate, determined, hard working and creative.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of cooking with fresh food and within your job role you will be expected to:

Work organised and clean at all times. Provide guidance to other kitchen staff members, including cooking, food preparation, and dish plating. Oversee kitchen stock & ingredients. Ensure a first in, first out food rotation system, and verify that all food products are properly dates and organised for quality assurance. Keep cooking stations stocked and clean at all times especially before and during prime operation hours. Help with the training of new kitchen employees to kitchen standards. Manage food and product ordering in the absence of the head chef by minimising waste. Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards. Work with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities. Assist head chef with menu creation
