Hours: 24 hours per week | Friday, Saturday & Sunday | Shifts between 11:00am - 6:00pm

Hourly Rate: 13.50 | Double pay on Bank Holidays | Overtime available

Aramark UK is currently recruiting a Cook to join our team in Bath, preparing wholesome, home-cooked meals for individuals experiencing homelessness. This is more than a cooking job -- it's a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a cause that matters, in a calm, creative environment where quality comes before quantity.



Based within a charity-run lifehouse, you'll prepare meals for up to 28 residents per day, using your skills to create nutritious dishes that offer comfort and dignity. This isn't a fast-paced or high-pressure kitchen -- it's a role that gives you the freedom to cook with heart, while building connections and making a genuine impact.

About the Site:

You'll be working with a Christian Charity whose mission is to meet human needs without discrimination. The site supports individuals facing homelessness, mental health challenges, addiction, and those with experience in the criminal justice system. This role requires empathy, resilience, and the ability to treat every person with respect and kindness.

What You'll Be Doing:

Preparing hot and cold meals, including breakfast, main meals, and desserts, in a canteen-style environment Following set menus or developing your own ideas -- you'll have creative freedom Managing and supporting catering assistants or kitchen porters on shift Serving residents and engaging in a friendly, respectful manner Ensuring food safety and hygiene protocols are consistently followed Cleaning work areas and supporting kitchen upkeep Taking your time to focus on quality, presentation, and taste

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 2 years of catering or cookery experience A culinary qualification is desirable but not essential Level 2 Food Hygiene certification is preferred (can be completed via our online training portal) A caring, empathetic approach to your work Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in a sensitive environment
