Team Members under 21 will be paid at 1.00 per hour less, which is significantly above National Minimum Wage guidelines for this age group_

A little about Avenue House Nursing and Care Home

Avenue House is located just outside Rushden. The home's architecture is modern regency style, which provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care, for 48 residents.


Competencies for Cook:

Day to Day Responsibilities for Cook:

You will provide, manage, and develop a high-quality catering service to our residents, guests and visitors to the home. You will operate a safe, professional, and cost-effective catering service within the company operational standards and comply with all statutory requirements. You will ensure that all our residents are provided with enough choice of nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day, broadly following the standard menus. You will ensure that food orders are made punctually two times a week and that the food costs are within budget throughout the year.
Essential Requirements for Cook:

Must hold a Level 3 in Catering or be contractually signed up to complete this qualification Hold two years catering experience in a fast-paced environment Experience conducting effective person- centred one to ones Hold one year of experience managing people Live within 20 minutes of the Home
Preferred Requirements for Cook:

One years' experience working in a similar role in a residential or nursing home Hold a Level 2 or a Level 3 qualification One years' experience working in a residential or nursing home Conducting effective person centred One to Ones
