Hours: Part-time or Full-time (flexible)

The Role

We're looking for a Cook / Kitchen Assistant to join our small but growing kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on food prep, working as part of a close-knit team, and helping deliver great pub food in a relaxed but professional setting. You'll be involved in prep, service, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly - with full training and support provided.

Key Responsibilities

Food preparation and basic cooking Supporting the head cook/chef during service Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene Assisting with stock rotation and deliveries Helping with prep for busy services (especially weekends and Sunday lunch) Working calmly and efficiently during peak times Being a reliable, positive team member in a small kitchen

A positive attitude and willingness to learn Some kitchen experience preferred, but not essential Good time management and reliability Ability to work well under pressure Pride in your work and attention to detail A team player who values respect and communication

Typical Weekly Schedule Shifts are planned in advance and shared fairly across the team.

Wednesday - Prep Day

10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Thursday

Opening Shift: 8:30 am - 2:00 pm o Closing Shift: 1:45 pm - 10:00 pm
Friday

Opening Shift: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm o Closing Shift: 1:45 pm - 10:00 pm
Saturday

Opening Shift: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm o Closing Shift: 1:45 pm - 10:00 pm
Sunday

Opening Shift: 8:00 am - 2:00 pm o Closing Shift: 1:45 pm - 10:00 pm (Shifts will be rotated where possible - you won't be expected to work every opening and closing.)
