Brief description of Cook's Main responsibility include:
Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, desserts and cakes.
Provide for special dietary requirements where necessary, and take into account the preferences of individual Clients.
Maintain accurate records of food supplies, and freezer fridge temperatures.
Ensure stock rotation. Order stocks and check deliveries, and check and value stocks as required by the Home
Supervise and instruct Kitchen Staff Members in the use of all equipment and hygiene procedures, giving help and guidance where appropriate.
Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales.
Brief description of Kitchen Assistant's Main responsibility include:
Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the cook
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits
Measure and weigh ingredients for recipes
Assist in plating and garnishing dishes
Store food items properly and rotate stock as needed
Follow all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
Note: This position may require standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects. Applicants must be able to meet these physical requirements.
