Nursery Cook- Clearly kids Newtownards Road
Our award-winning nursery, is seeking an experienced Cook to join their team. This is a Part-time position, you will play a crucial role in the children's daily activities as well as their health and nutrition. This position is for 25 hours a week hours per day are 8:30am to 1:30pm and this role is Temporary pending review.
Please note- this is a role working independently in a kitchen and will involve cleaning duties eg, dishes, appliances, surfaces
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and cook meals to a high quality
- Keep the kitchen organised and running efficiently
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation and food storage procedures
- Accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, ordering items when needed
- Work within a budget to order supplies, working to minimise food wastage
- Cleaning duties
Essential/Desirable criteria:
- Previous experience in a cook position
- Certificate in Food Hygiene or similar
- Able to work well independently with strong initiative
- Previous experience within a childcare or educational setting
- Experience managing a budget
- Certificate in Food Hygiene or similar
