Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious meals that delight our guests and contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients where possible. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant setting, with a strong understanding of culinary techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes. Culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
