Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packer to join our food production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and packaging food products in accordance with safety standards and quality specifications. Responsibilities

Carefully pack food products following specified guidelines and quality standards Ensure all packaging materials are clean, undamaged, and suitable for use Accurately label packages with relevant information such as batch numbers and expiry dates Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the packing area to comply with hygiene regulations Assist in inventory management by recording quantities of packed items Follow HACCP protocols and adhere strictly to food safety procedures at all times Operate basic mechanical equipment used in the packing process safely and efficiently Conduct basic quality checks on packed items to identify any defects or inconsistencies Report any issues or concerns regarding product quality or equipment malfunctions promptly

Experience

Previous experience in food safety or production environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards is desirable Familiarity with food production processes and handling procedures is a plus Mechanical knowledge or experience operating packaging machinery will be beneficial Basic mathematical skills for measuring ingredients, quantities, and weights are required

Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21 per hour
