We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in the role of cook. This position involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and presentation. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in food preparation and a desire to develop their skills within a professional kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards Assist with daily food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and assembling dishes Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing meal preparation and presentation Maintain organisation of kitchen stations, ensuring all equipment is clean and properly stored Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expiry dates Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely delivery of orders and uphold quality standards

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential Experience in meal preparation, including working with various ingredients and cooking techniques, is advantageous Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic culinary skills will be highly regarded Prior experience serving customers or working in a hospitality setting is beneficial but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is equally valued

Pay: From 12.70 per hour
